Balkan…Projects

Balkan…Projects is an art initiative dedicated to repositioning the Balkans within international artistic discourse by amplifying artistic practices from the region—past and present—and creating sustained opportunities for exchange with the wider global arts community. Through exhibitions, public programs, educational activities, and online platforms, it supports dialogue between local and international artists and art professionals, contributing to a shared infrastructure for a more connected and thriving art scene.

I joined Balkan…Projects in 2020 and developed its digital foundation by establishing an online archive and shaping a website that reflects the organization’s identity and long-term vision. I also convened an advisory group of established women artists from across the region to collaboratively articulate Balkan…Projects’ mission and strategy.

Today, in addition to supporting day-to-day operations, I oversee and co-curate the organization’s annual programs and commissions; develop collaborations and consultancy projects; coordinate partnerships with artists and institutions; and design mentorship and educational initiatives that extend curatorial work into public engagement.

Curatorial Content & Production: curatorial direction, research, and program development (e.g., Walking Public Program and series of Podcasts)

Education & Mentorship: mentorship activities, learning formats, and community-oriented initiatives (e.g., Mentorship Program)

Institutional Support & Collaborations: partnerships, commissions, and coordination with public and private organizations (e.g., Ivana Schinkel; Dora Plinth Biennale)

Consultancy & Private Enrichment: advisory work and tailored cultural programming for private partners (e.g., Mamula)
